    Several livestock markets have been shut down following an outbreak of the foot and mouth disease in parts of Uasin Gishu county. The disease is also spreading fast in other counties in the Rift Valley, including Trans Nzoia and Nandi. The counties are facing a cash crisis and are unable to intervene and stop the spread.
