KOROR, Palau: An heir to the DHL Express empire has been arrested again in Palau for alleged drug trafficking, authorities in the Pacific island nation said Friday (Oct 13). Larry Hillbroom Jr., a multi-millionaire who holds US and Palauan passports, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly dealing methamphetamine, Justice Minister Raynold Oilouch said. Dengue cases drop signifcantly in Palau
Dengue cases in Palau dropped nearly 50 percent from June to July. The Island Times reports that after nine months of steadily increasing numbers the month of July showed a 46 percent drop, the first major drop in confirmed cases this year. In May the number of cases jumped from 33 to 74 and in June reached 122. The June figure was partially attributed to a consolidation of reports from private clinics with the national hospital but only five out of Palau's 16 states now have reported cases   Read More ...

The dengue outbreak began in November last year. According to the Ministry of Health, there were 290 cases from January to June, with the majority occurring in the capital. Palau is one of the countries experiencing a surge in dengue victims with 290 cases recorded for the first six months of this year.
