Lucy Cheruiyot wins Baringo Half Marathon - Capital Sports
Valencia Half Marathon second runners up Lucy Cheruiyot clocked 1:12:19 to win Lotto Foundation Baringo Half Marathon on Saturday in Kabarnet town. Cheruiyot hit the front barely 5km into the race never to look back. She was closely challenged by Naomi Chebet and Joy Kimuma who clocked 1:12.22 and 1:12:52 respectively to place second and third. Jeruto, Wambui light up Kasarani
Riruta Central Secondary School’s Jackline Wambui and Lydia Jeruto tore their fields apart to the delight of the crowd at Kasarani. Fresh from winning Baringo Half Marathon last weekend, Fukuoka Half Marathon runner up Edith Chelimo bagged another title when she won the Sasumua Half Marathon in 1 hour 9 minutes 45secs in Njambini, Nyandarua County yesterday.
